PURPOSE
This site is a transparent record of my investment thinking and decision-making. Because I manage only my own capital, I’m able to write publicly in a way many institutional investors cannot. My aim isn’t to predict the future with certainty – only to document my reasoning honestly and rigorously. I share what I’ve learned in the hope that it may help other independent investors sharpen their own frameworks. These views reflect my ongoing work and are always subject to revision.
ABOUT ME
My name is Jude Christensen. In order of personal priority, I am a follower of Jesus Christ, a dad to a goldendoodle named Daisy, and a thematic growth investor.
Over the past several years, my personal portfolio has meaningfully outperformed the Nasdaq-100. I’ve benefited from strong thematic trends, but results have also depended heavily on process – understanding narrative cycles, managing concentration risk, and being disciplined enough to adapt when the market proves me wrong (strong convictions, loosely held).
My approach is thematic and forward-looking, focusing on sectors undergoing structural change: AI infrastructure and software, deep tech, blockchain, genomics, and precision medicine. I believe future investors will be defined not only by fundamental research, but also by the ability to integrate human psychology, behavioral discipline, analytics, and increasingly, AI.
My professional experience spans investing and commercial work across both the buy-side and the technology sector. This mix – financial, technical, and operational – gives me a cross-disciplinary perspective that shapes my research and my framework for variant perception.
I spend a substantial portion of my time self-teaching across domains where I suspect structural inefficiencies or narrative dislocations. With a blend of common sense, structured thinking, LLM-assisted research, and rigorous feedback loops, I test ideas until they either validate or break. Humility, self-awareness, and epistemic honesty are core to my process; conviction only matters after you’ve tried to disprove yourself.
I hold a master’s degree in electrical & computer engineering from Cornell University, and a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering & computer science from the University of California, Berkeley. I have been a CFA charter holder since 2014.

“There is no purpose in life, no Genesis, no dissolution, no one in bondage, no one who is striving for or who is desirous of liberation and thus, there is no one to be liberated.”
